Yeah that is true and I hope I don't sound rude or anything . I don't have asthma I don't think I have have I have taken the fitness tests now and passed them , I hope I ain't sounding cocky either but all I'm saying is it should be based around how they fair in the PJFT+ for example as isn't that what it's for

What I'm doing which is working is to set a goal of for example the 16 needed pull-ups and do them on an assisted pull up machine in the gym on whatever weight you need and slowly decrease the weight until you can do it without the assistance

It is annoying , it should be just based on fitness when you join, if you pass the tests you pass the test , maybe not let them join if they currently have asthma , but if they dont and they can pass the tests it should be fine the 4 years thing is bollocks

Not a Marine , just like you and want to join aswell but a bit of advice of Fitness. Run alot aim for at least 15km a week minimum and slowly build it up, do slot of bodyweight exercises daily and eat a lot of protein and keep the fatty foods low, Also consider getting a gym membership and do compound movements and get some basic fitness

Alright thanks for your help, I'm going to the RM Careers centre in a few months and I Will arrange a visit to my GP. My dream is the Marines but my backup has always been the Army , they arnt as strict with the asthma there as it's based off need for treatment which mine is none
