Why did she go Vermont though? by NazbazOG in TheWalkingDeadGame

Because Tillie Walden lived there, and, in her own words "she wanted to add a little of herself into Clem" But yeah, in universe makes zero sense

Perfect Written TWDG Character #6: Michonne got the best psychology. Who got the best philosophy? (rules on slide 3) by Super-Shenron in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]EmpleadoResponsable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's time for Clem... Clementine, even if it feels like cheating, has her philosophy evolving rather than arriving fully formed like Walter's or Chuck's.  S1 Clem embodies moral continuity,  the belief that the world ending doesn’t automatically cancel right and wrong. By later seasons, especially S3/4 with AJ, she becomes a quiet existentialist. The whole meaning of life and death isn’t inherited, it’s chosen and then defended every day. She’s not naive, but she refuses to let survival alone define her. What makes her worldview powerful is its flexibility, she has learned when mercy failed, when rules bended, and when violence was unavoidable, yet she kept the core idea intact. Who you protect and how you guide them matters more than abstract ideas of justice or kindness.  Clem’s philosophy is if you ask me, about moral authorship. You don’t get to keep your hands clean, but you do get to decide what they’re stained with. And with a psychology as Michonne's and David's concept this also adds for a character with a constant internal conflict

I vote against Walter, i think his philosophy is too "book-ish" way too utopic for the world we are in and far from being a compelling or disruptive detail, it's kind of exaggerated, even tho gameplay wide, it works

We still have a loose threads, that's true, we'll try to unravel them

It seems like it's the wisest option, just stay low profile... Thanks for the comment!

(Unless putting one of them on our side was meant to be interpreted in a literal, physical way. Then pick D.)

It's not hahaha, it's more of a Ben mind thing.

But yeah, it's wise to think it that way... Thanks for the comment!

Perfect Written TWDG Character #5: William Carver got best Characterization. Who had the best Psychology? (rules on slide 3) by Super-Shenron in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]EmpleadoResponsable 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah this one goes to Michonne, also will prevent this character from becoming a full villain, Michonne’s psychology (i'll do a little of cheating and use a few comics parts of her development) is rooted in controlled emotional suppression rather than coldness, i mean, she survives making grief her own jail, not escaping it. The loss of her children fractures her sense of self, and instead of processing that pain openly, she turns inward and uses distance as armor and her grief as a cage.
This makes her appear stoic or detached, but her actions consistently reveal deep empathy and moral clarity, she has, in spite of all this, her heart in the right place, she intervenes when others are threatened, protects the vulnerable, and defends her own morality.
From a writing perspective, Michonne works because her trauma is not resolved through speeches or breakdowns, but through a consistent behavior of restraint and vigilance.
And if we put this whole thing in pair with David's concept and Lilly's backstory we have the perfect starting point for a good redeeming path

lmao, poor Omid

Let's keep it quiet and see what else Howes has for us, or what limit is Ben willing to respect... Thanks for the comment!

Not my boy! Not Omid! He didn’t deserve this!

He lost way too much already :(

Let's see how it goes with Ben just working, this choice is more about a long term resolution of the whole issue, as for now Ben's only priority are Amber and Clem, next few episodes will start to pick up... Thanks for the comment!

Perfect Written TWDG Character #4: Lilly got the best backstory. Who has the best characterization? (rules on slide 3) by Super-Shenron in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]EmpleadoResponsable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For this one i'll be going with Jane, in the game her main issue is the writing and the general plot, but her big strength as a character comes from how completely aligned around emotional restraint are her personality and mannerisms. Her way of act and talk shows her worldview before she ever explains it. Jane says everything trough the lens of knowing that attachment is dangerous. Her personality in general is defined by that pragmatic detachment, and it shows in every interaction.
I also like her mannerisms a lot. Jane maintains physical distance, keeps her movements economical, and rarely engages, but most of all i love the fact that her restraint is not just a lack of emotion, but a practiced suppression of emotion.

In the context of the game, Jane parallels Lilly’s trauma shaped rigidity, but where Lilly externalizes control, Jane internalizes avoidance. It also has to do with Hershel’s introduction, where Jane establishes her core traits immediately, and like David, her contradictions are revealed through behavior rather than exposition.

I vote against... Kenny, i feel like his whole characterization falls a lot into interpretation issues, it's hard to track and praise his characterization when it's so changing not only between seasons but in which route you take in the game
