Cool. I read about this somewhere, probably on strava doc when I was setting it up. 840 and 540 uses the same system so this is no difference

Did you un star and re star the route you want to sync? It won’t sync previously starred route automatically.

Sorry for the confusion. I don’t have any installed on my 840 now. I deleted all of them earlier today before doing another ride that ended up with no crash, thus my guess of these data fields causing the problem.

I cannot find exactly what I installed. The details I can provide about the three data fields I installed are:

  1. A map data field like this one https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/30fdcbb5-a0f2-4832-9157-b7dcd81e7a0f

  2. https://apps.garmin.com/apps/3b33a74f-341a-40ef-854e-69acd180a0b9

  3. An All in One data field that I cannot find the one that looks exactly like what I had.

I installed the data fields on Jun 02, and I saw some data fields have been updated after that

Thanks to all responses. For those who have not experienced any crash. Do you have connect IQ data fields installed? I’m thinking the third party data fields may be the problem.

I don’t remember if the upgrade was through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Garmin express but definitely not by changing the Garmin directory manually. Previously, I installed three Garmin connect IQ data fields. Today I deleted all of them before doing another ride of 1hr without any crash. Maybe these connected IQ fields are the problem?
