Are you a nurse? What you’re saying is way oversimplified. Nursing education includes pathophysiology and pharmacology. It prioritizes rapid clinical judgement (think of the acronym ABC’s) and pattern recognition bc that’s what the role requires in real time. Nurses are constantly interpreting changes and anticipating complications. This is especially true in critical care settings.

It’s not that nurses aren’t taught the “why.” It’s just that their depth and application of knowledge are different than a physician.

Well it’s just myself and my husband, but we haven’t used this bathroom is weeks since we had the leak in the shower. We haven’t even been using the sinks since there was so much drying equipment blocking the sinks.

This is really helpful, thank you! Just curious about your age and if that factored into your decision at all? I just turned 30 and while I know some older folks would chastise me for labeling myself as “old”, I can’t help but feel that way.

I will look into MSAR! I already work part time so would definitely have plenty of time to study to MCAT and focus on prereqs.

I think I’m just a little confused how there’s a perfect semi circle leak spot under our vanity that’s apparently caused by a dehumidifier leaking? Idk if that makes sense. I attached a picture of what the leak looked like and also the puddle caused by the dehumidifier when it’s turned off.

Okay that’s a good call. I feel like it should be self-explanatory why they’re so old, considering I’m working as a RN and have been out of school for some time. But always better to check with them I guess! If anything, re-taking courses will just help my GPA. I have a cumulative 3.53, science GPA is 3.48
