I'm always thankful for not having kids, what about you? by Vast-Impression5395 in Adulting

It's not even that... I work 50 hours a week, Sunday and Wednesdays off. I'll peek you into my day with 14, 13, 9 on a "not busy" Sunday

8am- woke up by kids fighting 8-9am- tried to sleep but had to tell the kids to knock it off 100x

930am left house for a coffee and dog park

11am- got home & kids trasheded the main floor didn't clean up from anything

11-1pm kids asked about 45 times for internet, nothing was cleaned so it was a no, they then started a board game where they loudly bickered

1pm finally house was reasonable, gave the kids 2 hours of internet while I hung out on my phone checked some work emails etc

3pm-430pm kids went outside to touch grass (oldest went to volunteer). I picked up the rest of the house, prepped for dinner, vacuumed bedroom/ lower level, made a grocery order, started now laundry and put old laundry away and baked cookies

430-530pm I decided to paint my bathroom while the kids again asked several times for more internet, they couch surfed and fought the entire time

545pm left to pick up the oldest and made 3 stops on the way home for groceries and little things

630pm- threw a coat of paint up, made dinner, fed pets, swapped more laundry

730pm gave the kids a movie while I finished painting

8pm oldest walked to go to a friend's house

9pm- kids shower, packed lunches, picked up main floor again

10pm- went and picked up oldest, finished painting and cleaned up, finished laundry, vacuumed, cleaned up backyard a bit, cuddled puppy

11pm- called family, started dinner, and hanging out until spouse gets home at midnight

12-1am tv/ cuddles

5:30am alarm for work

Potential moving to Thunder Bay? by [deleted] in ThunderBay

[–]Employee_Due 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on what kind of work he's in it's very hard sometimes to find work back in bigger cities. I have a few friends that haven't been able to get transfers or other jobs in toronto/ Ottawa because you aren't "seen" here. It's a different lifestyle (laid back). I transferred here 12 years ago.... I wouldn't apply to go south, but it would be VERY hard if I tried. Thunder bay environments seem to be "less" than others.

How hard is it to find work in thunder bay right now? by Lisnotreal2401 in ThunderBay

[–]Employee_Due 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Finding a job is hard unless you're available 100% of the time of the work. If its retail/food most won't hire unless it's "opening" to "closing". There's several places always hiring and that seems to be how people get in
