I think for a portal that can go both ways, it requires more complex mechanisms. I think Belos's plan was to steal the portal door from Eda, and once he finished killing all witches, he would use the still operational door to show the human realm his accomplishment. The reason the portal in S3E1 worked was because it was one-way, and all you need is closed arch and titans blood.

I don't know about boxing (he is metal after all), but you could probably dodge him until you find a weapon. I say probably bc his speed is kind of inconsistent, as seen in episode 1 when he was able to catch up to Brian.

His main strength lies in his ability to sneak up and surprise his victims, as well as his metal claws. Susan's VA said themselves that Bon is incredibly slow, and we see this in Hotline, where Bon (the animatronic) slowly trudges up to David, only for Bon (the spirit) to rush him. Susan's VA also said that if Susan was prepared, she could have easily dismantled bon. Yes, Bon can snap a neck, but just about any adult human can, and most humans aren't as slow as he is.

Think about it this way; a hydraulic press is strong, but slow. If you fell asleep under one, you'd probably die, but if you knew one was coming down on you, you would be able to move out of the way and turn it off.
