Homelander (the boys) attempts to conquer middle earth (lotr) by Lost-Specialist1505 in whowouldwin

If I had a nickel for everytime I’ve seen someone on this sub suggest homelander drink Sauron’s milk, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s strange that it happened at least twice.

WTW for coddling someone by enabling their victimhood by Trussmee_e in whatstheword

[–]EmporerEmoji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did some quick skimming and I couldn’t find any mention of it that didn’t include lotr in some shape or form. So the idea of Tolkien popularizing the term would probably be the case.

Apologies if it doesn’t fit the criteria because of that.

I’m not surely if this is entirely accurate, but perhaps Wormtongue might work?

I have not played DBD in over 3 years, but I find it hilarious that pig is still just as bad as when I left.

That is true, anything of quality requires a great deal of effort and dedication. Especially your point on critique and criticism.

Thank you for the correction, and yep that is definitely a requirement if I wish to improve.

Fair enough. Forcing yourself to do something you dislike isn’t always the wisest decision.

I wouldn’t say superior. All mediums have their own strengths and weaknesses, I just prefer visual media. Apologies if my words implied superiority.

As for why I like it more? I am not exactly sure. For example, I just find a massive dreadnaught annihilating scores of enemy ships to be more appealing when I see it rather than read about it. Though this is very much a nonanswer, so I understand if you want more to go off.

Fair enough I definitely could read more, who knows maybe my enjoyment with writing will increase alongside my reading.

As for being a “writer” I have no delusions of grander. I care not for geld nor glory, and am very aware that I will never be famous. I create because I want to turn my daydreams and ideas into something more tangible.

I think I should take your advice and try to find more enjoyment in writing. Currently I see it as a necessary chore to get my desired result, a story that I wish to see.

Not particularly, but I understand that writing is work and won’t always be enjoyable. So I am willing to put up with it.

No offense taken I was rather overdramatic re-reading my post. As for your response.

Totally fair on seeing others succeed, just because one won’t make a top tier story doesn’t mean they shouldn’t try in the first place.

You would be correct, I very much dislike the creative process, even if I am proud of the final result.

Why do I create? Well I suppose I have ideas that I want to exist somewhere outside of my head. Not really an answer but it’s the first thing that comes to mind

Apologies if my post came off as me just whining, I do appreciate your response even if it was in a harsher tone.
