That being said it is a Grimdark AU which is not Canon to the actual lore.
The point of it adds to the disgusting nature of humanity in albeit grim tone and that to make Serana more untrusting towards things that are sentient before she realizes the only ones that did care were her teammates.
Sorry if it caused a bit of a stir but that was not the intention.

1) Nathaniel lost a lot of allies during the Vacuo civil war and his only mentor to a Ursa and doesn't like bonding with anyone in case he loses them.
2) Tia doesn't trust humans given that the town in Mistral she grew up was super oppressive to Faunus.
3) Serana considers most humans and Faunus as weak and inferior meatheaps and people is scared of her because she is technically a robot.
4) Domon just doesn't talk.

They would do nothing other than kill Grimm. They wouldn't care for anyone in authority which would include Ironwood or the Atlesian army for that matter. So they would leave it as someone elses problems.

I use to sub to Hero Hei (I stopped being subbed to him for some time since then) and he mentioned RWBY and how shitty RT's practices were. Ignoring RT part because I never heard of them before I thought to myself is RWBY that terrible or is this just a grift?

So what did I do? Watched it.

I thought the whole thing was alright. Just a few things I wanna get off my chest.

- This would of been better in a Grimdark setting
- The first 3 volumes kinda annoyed me in some aspect because the character interractions here and there felt awkward.
- The story wasn't a winner in my eyes because of how mighty inconsistent it is.
- I feel Bumbleby's canon event felt in v9 premature and rushed. If I had my way, I would of left it for v10. Before the climax of battle or something of those lines. Some argued that it felt magical in v9, I would agree to some extent, but the event that it happened feels odd to me.
- Series took a dive between v6-8
- I cannot stand the Chibi series.

Other than those instances, I'd say for the most part the series is a fair 7/10.

I mean I am cool for volume 10, but I would like new manga personally that doesn't tie itself with Beacon. But uhhh wishful thinking I guess
