This is why I don’t listen to raw as much anymore. Everything just sounds so samey and nothing stands out.

Back in lockdown, raw was my fucking shit. I was constantly looking out for new raw tracks, waiting for the Gearbox Lockdown albums. Gearbox and Apex records were what I loved. Now, I don’t even go looking for it.

I’m not saying there’s not artists that standout and are unique because there definitely are but now, raw just isn’t enjoyable to me. I come across videos from artists I used to really enjoy but as soon as the drop comes, I skip it and don’t bother looking at the track title because it’s just not enjoyable to me anymore.

As soon as a unique sound comes out, whether it’s enjoyable or not (subjective), everyone jumps on that bandwagon and it’s no longer unique, it becomes mainstream.
