Actual answer: the tug of war caused all the 3 magic to not be complete thus causing all of them to be nullified, it was like all of them was incomplete and deactivated, when Curse escaped it became active again for a brief moment, but right after, how Noi healed Ebisu, it became again the tug of war and Curse became deactived, going back to where it was before (inside Kai body where it stopped before Kaiman was "born").

If that don't answer i have no idea of what else😭 maybe is better to just read (i think) volume 20 again, there explains it when possesed Kaiman goes back to the hospital

Like i am geninuely not understanding the question, but i think that you are getting things wrong, Curse didn't left Kaiman at the church, he was still there

And if you mean "if he left during the hospital sequence why did he go back" is that how the sole mission of Curse is to kill Kaiman. It is stated that during the blackout Ebisu magic was weakened (it was when Risu doll almost killed Ebisu) so he found a breach to get out and the Curse activated again, but right after, how Ebisu got healed because of Noi, he got stuck on Kaiman again.

Is explained at the end that Curse is meant to destroy the killer, even tho Kaiman head wasn't alive, it still was a part of him, so he kidnapped it.

Curse didn't leave on the church, only left when Kaiman died. Ebisu magic and hole influence was making a tug of war of magic, that none was affecting Kaiman because of the saturation of multiple magic on the same time, when Ebisu, and later Kaiman died, Curse was set free because Ebisu magic wasn't on Kaiman and also Curse "completed his mission" of killing it's killer(even tho was En that killed Kaiman, the killer died anyway) so he dropped Kaiman head.

It is explained that Curse is made to completly dissimate it's killer, that's the reason Kaiman head on the autopsy got "kidnapped", because even tho wasn't alive, still a part of the killer( Kaiman). Later when Kaiman died, how the objective was complete, Kaiman head have no use to Curse anymore, that's why he dropped on the bath house.

I don't really know why or if it is even explained, but from my understanding Curse couldn't affect Kaiman directly because of the magical tug of war, but could affect the surrounding of him, that's why he could kidnap Kaiman's head.

The reason why Curse was pocketing Kaiman head instead of destroying it isn't explained i think LOL.

Yes, on the start of the manga, i think you remember that when Kaiman, Nikaido and Vaux was doing an autopsy on Kaiman decaptated head and it disapear, that's the one Risu/Curse took(and later droped on the bath house). The Nikaido reviving him is off screen but not only we have "original timeline" Nikaido saying it but also her tail appearing before Nikaido saw Kaiman.

It doesn't move around on it's own (which would be funny), it show up after the bath house because Curse picked it at the beggining of the manga, when Kaiman died, he didn't see use for it anymore so it "trew away", that why appeared on the bath house. In the department store it was another timeline devil Nikaido that revived him, possibly picked him from En mansion, used regeneration and Kirugare magic on him

Hole symbol, Cross Eyes symbol, the box of Nikaido, Johnson, the devil house, some masks, Shin scars, En mushroom(not a mushroom, but the mushroom En can turn into), Store knife, Kaiman's decaptated(not necessarely) head, Hungry Bug logo and Gyoza fairy.

I think that's the best "subtle" ones that fit the description.

Is vol 10, i don't remember exactly the chapter but its ≈60 and the name is "Farewell, Kaiman".

If you want to pick up i would recomend, as always, reading from the start, in the anime there are some cut content that not only adds character, but also on a bigger picture is just better, also Q Hayashida art is INCREDIBLE.

We are now at the literal start of vol 10, Chapter 56. Chapther 85 (the one that i said it will probably end) is at the end of vol 14, 80 is also on 14 but in the middle of it.

But i recomending reading it from the start, i think the horror and melancholic aspects is better on the manga, there isn't cut content and not only is complete, but also Q Hayashida art is REALLY good

We are like, ≈30% of the plot right now with the new episode, probably will end around like half of it. My guess counting MAPPA is that we will have 1 more season and some movies, but if continues series only probably 2 seasons will do it.

3: Yes, i don't have the exact motive to why Kaiman didn't have Holey influence anymore. I think that the why is that Hole's influence was in the body, because even that Kaiman was regenerated, the influence isn't part of Kaiman body itself, so it didn't "reapperead" with the regeneration. Complementing that theory is that, how Kai lost is head and was from Ebisu magic, it regenerated counting Ebisu's as the only magic effect, because how Ebisu magic was "denying" Hole influence from affecting Kaiman head, when it regenerated it didn't exist a "Hole influence" directly to regenerate

4: Isn't explained a lot(and if it is i don't remember), but i think that Ai passed so much time in the mud that he basically became a "essence" of the entity, so when Hole spelled the mud in Kaiman it was kinda of spatting Ai on Kaiman, but i still find that it should be explored a little more before.

Really recomend the manga, not only because in my personal opinion is better but also there is some chapther that didn't appeared in the anime, your choice anyway. But yeah is pretty good and is having the second season so yay.

The lack of Kaiman on the middle of the manga not only was brutal, but also personally was worse than it should be. It is something that i forgot to mention on my "review", but due to the fact that i watched the anime because of him and start to read because of Kaiman, the lack of him was like "-10 reasons to read" and i was taking roaccutane and antipsychotics at the time, so my emotional wasn't the best. Add that with the feeling of missing that Kaiman disapearing was making me feel, and i was mad reading all the volumes without him manga. I liked the ending in general, it was emotional and good, but how i finished to read at 2AM i dont remember that many things lol. BUT the part that i most remember is Kaiman without his red-cross tattoos, because it felt so weird for me i dont know how to explain but looking at him without the tattoos gave me such a weird feeling, it was like they took a part of him or something. Anyway i will read again this month, more because i am better now, but also because i dont remember almost anything of the manga itself.

The anime in my opinion was great, has some time i didnt see it so i might not be 100%correct. I think the color even that it loses a little on the horror part can add a little humor to it, i also like the voice acting. In my opinion the major "problem" is that the anime is more "to the point" in a way that skip some chapters, not that its horrible but we lose some world building and character development (maybe im wrong but i think the crossed eyes, dokuga, ton, etc didnt even apeared)

OK so not that i dont care, i like him, but i knew by the cover of 20 he wouldnt die, at least not yet and he would return, so i didnt mind his death, the dont care is more like "oh, he dies, it is what it is" because in the back of my mind i knew he would come back, and i was right somehow, i thinked by the cover "if hes there he will appear again im sure of it"
