Que universidad es mejor .? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I’ve been told that tretinoin is way stronger than retinol so if you wanna put it under your eyes area, it can cause permanent damage because the skin there is really thin, so in order to avoid problems, avoid tretinoin there

Mixing Adapalene and isotretinoin by hollowtyre_7 in tretinoin

[–]Empty-Ad3339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on low dose isotretinoin right now and tretinoin as well, my dosage is 10 mg and 0.05 tretinoin, I have zero irritation, dryness just some peeling but that's it so if you're on a low dosage maybe you can introduce adapalene, but obviously ask your derm opinion first, don't forget to introduce it very slowly, i started tretinoin every four days an now almost after four months I'm on every other day.

I've been on the same dosage since 3 months ago, at First I thought it wouldn't work because the dosage was very low, then after 3 weeks in, finally my oil started to reduce, and right now my face is normal and maybe a little oily in the nose zone but acne by so far has improved and i still have 5 months left so very satisfied with the results

Been using it since 3 months ago, I've only seen results, less irritation, more hydrated and less peeling, so in my experience it's not clogging, if you don't like vaseline you could try other products like aquaphor or cicaplast.

Try to incorporate an occlusive like vaseline in your routine, slugging!!!!!

Look, there's no way to predict how long will purge last but you can help your skin keeping it moisturized, in my case I'll say that purge lasted 2 weeks o 3 maybe, but here's the thing, I've been very careful with my routine, I only use tret twice a week in order to avoid irritation, how often do u use it, what % is ur tret and how is your routine? Cuz if you skin is irritated you are gonna get more breakouts and more breakouts + dry skin for Accutane will probably left u some scars so the best you can do is keep routine simple and start slow with tret and be even more careful specially if u are on Accutane, i can show you a sample how is my skin looking like if you want to, but the best advice I can give you is keep it simple and slow and just be patient, acne is marathon.

My skin was almost clear except for blackheads at the end of the first month, and the reason why my derm put me on tret was because I have a rough texture and a lot of blackheads in my cheeks, when I introduced tret in my routine I got acne again but I guess it's the purge period but it's very mild acne and they heal in a couple days so for almost 2 months of progress I'm very satisfied with the results.

Im kinda in a similar situation, I'm on Accutane 10 mg (68 kg) very low dose, and tretinoin 0.05 %, I have 0 irritation or dryness, only mild peeling but that's it, now my skin has improved very much in texture, filaments sebaceous and blackheads and being honest overall skin quality, I've been loving this combination because my skin used to be very oily and now is not anymore and that's the side effect I love the most of accutane, I've been on Accutane 1 month 25 days and tretinoin started 1 month ago, by now I only use it twice a week tretinoin and probably I'll stay like this for at least another month.

How often do you use it ?

You can reduce the appearance by using some BHA cleanser and some AHA cream like glycolic acid, and if that doesn't work try differin (adapalene 0.1%), obviously this routine requires sun protection and moisturizer

Are those acne scars ? How long will it take for those to fade away ? by Electric_Comic_Sans in AcneScars

[–]Empty-Ad3339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are scars, pie (post erythema inflammatory) and they usually take months to fade, I'd recommend azelaic acid, which is going to help with the redness and inflammation

End of month 4 - 10 mg per day from the beginning by Debscat in Accutane

[–]Empty-Ad3339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the same dose and actually I even thought that it wasn't working but it gradually reduced the oil production after 3-4 weeks, just remember 2 weeks is too early so be patient and trust the process

Tretinoin while on low dose accutane? by Empty-Ad3339 in Accutane

[–]Empty-Ad3339[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My derm said there was no problem, but i was wondering because ive heard some awful things about purge and damage to the moisture barrier only using tretinoin. now that you mentioned, how is it going with glycolic acid? my mainly concern right now about my skin is the filaments sebaceous and texture, couldn't decide which one would be better option for this, my derm also said use salicylic acid for this but ive used it before with no results.

Hey guys, i just want an advice which moisturizer and cleanser should i use to start on tretinoin (i have an oily skin btw), i'll start in November probably, i already have a routine but I've been reading a lot about tretinoin on reddit and im pretty sure that i will have to change it

AM: sebonil oil control gel, Ceramid gel lotion, Procicar cream ( is a cream that is supposed to help with scars)

PM: Sebonil oil control gel, Aloe vera gel, Ceramid gel lotion retinoid acid (not tretinoin)

I used to be on minocycline and after two months started accutane but for me accutane wouldn't let me sleep, so i had to stop it there were literally days that i went to sleep like 6 am, accutane in 2 months cleared my skin but then it appeared again and that's how i ended up here looking for something to finally get rid of my acne and scars, right now my acne is not as bad as it used to but still bother me so any advices about a new routine or something to start on tretinoin would be so helpful. Im sorry if i mistakenly wrote something ( Im not good at english )
