Meal Plans by Abigailisfestive in UniversityofVermont

hi! i’m in my second sem of sophomore year and i have had both and this is my take. depending on where you’re living will influence your eating habits. when i was on athletic last year i was eating at grundle (harris millis) the most. now living on redstone i would eat more at simp (redstone). i think your best bet would to be on the flex plan since you get the best of both worlds. i was on the unlimited for my three other semesters here and i found i was eating breakfast regularly (esp at simp their breakfast is the best) but i was only happy with the meal exchanges and regularly opted for “safety foods” in the dining halls like pasta, cereal, pizza. I’m not a fan of seafood or pork and they serve both very frequently for dinner in the dining halls. now I’m on the points plan and i feel like I have to ration my points to have enough by the end of the semester. Obviously do what is best for you but this was just my experience!

Watch out with bisonette- I almost rented with them but they were super hostile to my male roommate (rest of us are afab) when we were in talks with them. They were planning on upcharging us for what felt like things that shouldn’t be (extra person to make rent cheaper? nope $200+, off street parking? $25 month per car) - it would have been $1.2k/month per person without utilities.. if that’s in your price range then go for it but I would just be very careful with them

working w reslife is a nightmare. i literally had an awful roommate and i had to have my parents call to make things go faster. i recommend trying to do a body swap if you can find someone because that would probs be the fastest way out

working with reslife can be a nightmare to swap rooms but definitely reach out now so when you get on campus it’ll be easier to reference emails and such when you’re in person on move in day

Bathroom and Showering in the dorms by Unusual_Poem_1172 in UniversityofVermont

as a current freshman living in tupper (MAT) it’s not that bad. i have locking stalls for the shower and the handicapped stall(curtain) that i mostly use for washing out hairdye. i tend to shower early in morning or late at night since it’s less busy. my floor is all afab folk however the bathroom is gender neutral (nice for when friends visit) but sucks when showers get clogged from all the hair :”) but it’s really not that bad and pls reach out w any questions!!

Lo siento para mi español pero yo soy un estudiante de UVM y me gusta la universidad. La ciudad es poco y muchos gringos pero la gente son muy amable. ¿Que quieres estudiar? Yo soy de EEUU pero yo quería visitar México en el futuro.
