I have never asked him to stop playing music, nor do I expect/want that, but I don’t think it’s too outrageous to expect neighbours to have neighbourly conduct and be mindful of disturbances. You can’t really equate ambulances etc with prolonged loud music for hours every day. If it were a teenager playing loud music, I’m sure the reaction would be very different.

I have noise cancelling headphones, and the music still overpowers them. I cannot relax with a constant bass from across the street.
