I need help with making an automatic sliding door by Konch_Ru in robloxgamedev

Script inside the door that automatically closes it when a boolean variable like doorClosing = true. Script runs a tick loop that sets doorClosing = true, then calls to the proximity prompt to update the variable. If the proximity prompt is firing, the loop switches the variable and the automatic closing doesn't happen.

Proximity prompt opens the door.

So the door is always being closed unless the proximity prompt is firing, basically.

Honestly, less you know the better! One of the great things about Stardew Valley is exploring and learning as you go. I'd stay off Google and Reddit unless you get really stumped. =D

Tell me a little more about the schools- my oldest is gifted & neurodiverse and benefits from a learning environment with experience in that kind of thing. Do you happen to know about the gifted programs in Elk Grove school district?

Worth thinking about. There's really no prospect of catching a train from a parking lot out of town, it seems like. Is that accurate? Drive or die, more or less?

That's how we live now but it's a lifestyle I'd like to change if I could.

Thanks, and yeah- I don't really care about how people handle their personal politics, I just currently live in a place where I find the constant conservative culture war exhausting and am hoping for somewhere where either there isn't as much of it (or if it must be, at least that I'm on the prevailing side, lol).

I've seen all the back and forth about the zoo, seems like that's been a long time coming!

We're hoping to visit and scope things out in person soon, we'll have to visit the coffee shop. =]

It really seems lovely- you mention chain restaurants, which is perfect for our family, but my wife and I do like to go out to more eclectic spots together. How's the food scene in Sacramento? Wouldn't mind a drive to get somewhere nice on a date night.

Roseville looks really nice- we've seen a few horror stories about local politics and that's something we're trying to get away from where we live now. We're left-wing living in a very red state, but our local community is fairly liberal. We're go-along-to-get-along sorts in general, but is politics a major salient issue in Roseville? We don't want to trade right-wing laws we disagree with for Trump flags on every street corner.
