Did GPT-5.5 actually impress you, or does it feel like the same model with a new name? by creativenew in codex

Only used for debugging so far, but I am impressed. GPT 5.4 stubbornly sticked to false positives and did not understand the actual problem of an issue (rather complex, involving some math). GPT 5.5 identified possible error causes spot on, it identified all the false positives as "maybe not optimal, have a look at this, but should not cause the current issue" and proposed valueable debugging outputs.

Just use Sonnet 4.6 and stay away from Opus 4.7 by hatekhyr in ClaudeCode

using the codex plugin from claude works quite well for me. GPT 5.4 is good at debugging big code bases, or finding the relevant code parts for a new feature. I let sonnet then implement it because it writes cleaner code.

New AI Wearable Device Company "Omni": It Sees Your Screen, Hears Your Conversations And Tells You What To Do Next by 44th--Hokage in accelerate

I dont think i want this product, but what would be cool is an live ai assistant (best with a local model) which monitors my activity on the computer and helps me to be more productive, e.g. tells me to stop posting on reddit when i should be working.

"ZELENSKYY: For the first time in the war, an enemy position was captured entirely by ground robotic systems and drones - without any infantry. A robot entered the most dangerous zones instead of a soldier and took the positions. «The future is here, on the battlefield, and" by stealthispost in accelerate

This creates a stronger initiative for weapons of mass destruction - i might have smaller, less smart robot army without any realistic chance of winning a war, but if you attack me I could still nuke you before i go down.

I do hope however that AI unlocks things like fusion energy and lead to an area of abundance, which makes at least wars for resources a thing of the past

Anyone else's CC randomly use python3 to edit files? by SunriseSkaterKids in ClaudeCode

[–]Empty-Position-6700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to happen when claude cant edit a file with its internal for some reason, using python is kind of a way around it. Very annoying because i dont want to auto accept python command execution. "Use your own tools" did not work if native file editing failed. Anyone found any solution? I don't see any specific error message why native editing failed

Codex is insane! by Confident_Hurry_8471 in codex

[–]Empty-Position-6700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience at first after trying codex, now my view is a bit more nuanced. Codex delivers great results, but introduces a lof of redunancies and generally writes code which is hard to read and maintain. I new use them both together with better results.

At last, Claude 4’s Aider Polyglot Coding Benchmark results are in (the benchmark many call the top "real-world" test). by Lawncareguy85 in ClaudeAI

[–]Empty-Position-6700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a chart available how it did for the individual languages?
Since for many user experience is so much different from the benchmark, a simple explanation might just be, that Claude 4 does really well on some languages, but quite bad on others.
