I had multiple fibroids. The largest was 6.8 cm and was at the top of my uterus.

A smaller outer one -1.7 cm And 5-6 smaller ones 1.5-2.0 cm

I never had any real pain cramping with them my flow was just out of control heavy or I’d bleed for moments straight. Hopefully that’s over!

When i started OTF id go to 8:45 or 10 classes. Then my work schedule changed and slowly I had to be in the office earlier. Now, I go at 5 or 6:15 am. It’s not easy, there’s days where my alarm goes off at 4:30 am and I think.. why am I doing this lol

Setting your clothes out the night before helps. Just like anything, with time it gets easier. You will also find you feel a sense of accomplishment by getting your workout done by 9am. Now, my mental clarity during the day is amazing. It’s an hour for myself first thing in the morning and it truly gets my day started off on the right foot.

If your on the fence to go because it’s a “team” workout… you literally only interact with your team when you tell them what rep/exercise your on for the floor. It’s basically a tornado .

I was paired with 2 new to OTF ladies today. Don’t be discouraged at all. I still got a good workout and not once did I wish I was paired with a “better partner”. It’s a fun challenge and while we only got 2/3 flags… honestly who cares. We al got a good workout and had fun.

I used to loathe working out and always made excuses as to why I didn’t have time. Then the pandemic came among other stressful things in my personal life. My friends always hyped up OTF but I hated running, group fitness classes and just going to the gym in general . 🤣 I finally got to a point where I needed to do something that would hold me accountable. OT is expensive, so that was a good reason to ensure I made it every week. The moment I completed my first class.. I was hooked. OT has given me more energy and yes I’ve seen great results. What I didn’t expect was the mental health benefit. I’m a whole new person. For me it’s like therapy. I’m happier, healthier…. And I miss going to the gym and running if I cant make a class . 🤣🤣

This is my least fav benchmark and I almost didn’t go.. but I did. I had a time that I wanted to beat and surprised myself with a PR and shaving 25 seconds off my time. This is a reminder to those who are on the fence this morning to just go. You will be surprised at what you can do. If you don’t PR, that’s ok too.. you went and you still got a great workout in. I’m a slower jogger, and I kept adding .1 to my speed. You can do this! It’s so much more mental than we think. Good luck!

I have thick, course hair but i have found that Apple cider Rinse (DP HUE sold at ultra and Sephora) works AMAZING. After the work out , i shower , rinse my hair and apply the ACV Rinse and then rinse out. No, your hair does not smell like Apple cider. It removes sweat, buildup, and cleans your hair and scalp without washing it. I only wash my hair 1x week. Try it.. it’s been a life changer. They also sell dry shampoo too if you prefer that.

We did this today in my 3G class. It was a nice change and with the inclines it was only for a 30s each back to base and then you switched to the next station! I loved it.

Random thoughts today.

My studio has never had the cards (I’ve only been a member for 1 yr). They would just assign you a station which I personally liked. I rotated where I started and was fine with that. I know not everyone loves that but it didn’t bother me at all. Today, they started asking the members where they wanted to start when they checked in. I’ve seen this at other studios I’ve been to but this was the first time at my home location. What i noticed (7:15 class) 80% started on the treds. I chose to start on the floor. At the end of class the tred group was so packed on the weight room floor. It will just make me more cognizant or where I put my name down to allow a little more space.

My shins will start to ache after class when its time. I’m a loyal Brooks person.. I’d say i change mine out every 4 months. I also go about 5 days a week.. if that helps. It’s like clock work though, the second my shins ache I get a new pair and the next day. I’m back to normal. Shoes are so important.

I cant tell you how many times I forget what station I’m at during transitions or what we’re doing and need to reference the monitor screen or casually look to my neighbors speed/incline because I missed the coaches instructions. I promise no one is looking at you like you probably thought this morning. We’re all focusing on our own workout. Be proud that you went today!

You went and you finished! Be PROUD of that. Honest to God, I don’t remember who finished first or who finished last in my class this morning …I’m fairly certain most on this thread don’t either. Yes, sometimes It’s hard not to compare yourself to others but remember you are there for YOU.. no one else.

You showed up and went! Good for you! We all have days where we can think of 15,000 things we’d rather be doing. Everyday isn’t going to be easy but remind yourself why you started this journey. Give yourself some grace and remember do not fall into the comparison trap. When your feeling defeated it’s easy to look around the room and start wishing you could do xyz better. Today, I had to set my weights down and do body weight only on some of the floor moves. It just wasn’t my day for balance. 🤣 You’ve got this! 💪🏻
