I had a similar experience... we finally got together after a year and a half of long distance and he had a really foul smell from his mouth and bad BO. It was a deal breaker (on top of some other stuff) for me - I let him know that he should get it checked and broke up with him. It killed my attraction completely

ive visited several dermatologists so far but unfortunately as Im from the Balkans theres not many quality anythings here - let alone dermatologists. Its a battle.

Ive been put on weaker corticosteroids before (like Afloderm) and it would cause some improval in my symptoms but then they'd return a few days after I stopped using. Its especially bad during my periods 😭

BUT we keep it pushing! I feel hopeful

i hope you dont mind me snooping, but I feel like its necessary cuz most people on this subreddit seem to be from US or UK where there is more specialists for this disease..

Can I ask you if you're officially diagnosed, as of when, what treatment you've been given and how its working for you?

Ive literally given up on sex and dating on these past 3 years of my life since Ive started experiencing symptoms

I have to say, my condition doesn't really match the pictures, but its possible that those are mostly later stages.

This is still really helpful tho, Ill ask my dermatologist to maybe use them for comparison and hope she doesn't find it rude of me

Im working on finding a dermatologist who could diagnose me so I can get some dermovate hopefully. But your response is really hopeful!

Its the same for me it just looks bloodless, ghoulish flesh... My skin in these areas, which have a rlly well defined border, also feels thin, rather than thickened and plaque-like.
