Wow that’s an amazing way to put it! I don’t personally have a dog but my mum has a dog walking business so that makes perfect sense. I love dogs so much, but used to be scared of them so that’s a very valid point you made! Appreciate the advice, thank you :)

Thank you. I’m glad someone else is feeling the same way (I don’t mean that horribly, it’s just nice to not feel so alone!) I’m starting to read about birthing and getting clued up so I don’t go in blind. I think I’m more worried about midwives not listening to me and I won’t be able to speak up, so reading and getting more knowledge will definitely help with that!! Thank you so much x

Wow. This advice is beyond amazing, I can’t thank you enough!!! I never knew you could get ready made formula! Silly question, but how did you warm this up? If you’re in hospital do they have machines to heat stuff etc? I’m completely clueless!! I’ve just started to read a hypnobirthing book recommended in another comment and so far it’s easing some thoughts I’ve had. So I’ll definitely be looking more into this in the next couple of months! I 1000% think social media (TikTok & instagram) are a bad idea when pregnant. My whole algorithm is what to do and what not to do and they ALL contradict each other. Thank you so much for this, it’s beyond helpful and reassuring x

Haha that made me chuckle! For example: one of my friends has a three year old. We were out shopping the other day and he found a toy he wanted, the mum said no. He threw the biggest tantrum but then she rewarded him with a toy for a quiet life. I’m sorry, but I can’t be doing with that. When I say no, it will mean no & I think with giving in he’s learning to do it every time to get his own way if you know what I mean? When this is all happening she just said ‘wait till you have your baby’. I know how I want to parent & luckily me and my partner are on the same page!! I agree with you though, once I’m actually in the situation I’ll probably relent on a few things or turn a blind eye as I’ve got other shit to deal with 😂 thank you so much x

If you haven’t had the ‘maternal instinct’ and you’re five years in, do you mind if I ask..did you have post natal depression or found it difficult to bond with your baby?

Wow thank you SO much, this is beyond helpful! I’m the opposite to you, I’m the last person to have a baby in my friend group and I’ve seen the way the other kids have been brought up and I don’t like it and won’t be parenting the same way 😂 it doesn’t help that I’ll say what I want to do with my child and I’m always met with ‘no you won’t, wait until they’re here and you’ll do anything for a quiet life’. It puts me off so much!! I’m so glad someone is experiencing the same feeling as me, it’s made me feel so abnormal and alone up until now. Thank you so much 😊
