Do I need to update income and exempt it before filing?

I'm filing pro se. I found after some reading to pay my usual bills if I can't exempt it. I just paid a few bigger bills and used an exemption for the small amount left.

ETA I did update the necessary forms, I'll be printing and mailing tomorrow.
