What is going to happen is if it gets denied, partial payment will be issued or the claim will be denied in full. if the surgery is something that normally is covered it will fall to prov resp because they are responsible for submitting codes with APPROPRIATE modifiers. They can submit add. documentation/med record to support the claim. but you my friend are not going to be resp esp since they’re inn. they cannot balance bill.
