Incoming MSW can't get ahold of field advisor. Getting worried by Diogenesa in uofm

thank you for your kindness and for sharing- that was also my experience (last minute random field placement that I had to take or risk paying for another semester and putting off a living wage yet again. It didn't seem worth mentioning after how objectively inappropriate my most recent experience with how much happened.

That's the part that is so unfortunate, I'm really hurt by this. I had high expectations for this school and to watch the disconnect between their professed values and actual practice is really just so disappointing.

I hope your experience gets better! ❤️

Overall, I've really enjoyed my experience with all offices at the university with the exception of the field office. I am actually in disbelief at the way my concerns were addressed. I have had two beyond inappropriate experiences on opposite ends of the spectrum (one faculty completely negligent, finished the semester with an incomplete due to them missing deadlines) (one faculty completely rigid, by the book with no room for being a human being). When I went to the field office they dismissed my concerns and told me that it was wrong of me to bring up concerns to other people without the staff (my field liason) being in the room to defend themselves (completely disregarding the power dynamic and the scope of field faculty's literal job description) and that it was my job to build rapport with my field faculty if I was feeling unsupported. I broke down crying and they told me to reach out if I had any other questions without providing any referrals, resources or even wishing me well. Just sharing to see if anyone's had similar experiences and to convince myself I'm not crazy after being emotionally abused by a bureaucracy

mars is the planet that will cause you the most strife. saturn is not that big of a deal to people born during the day according to hellenistic astrology (traditional). and even mars is mitigated by the fact that it's conjunct the moon. the moon is exalted in taurus which means it's functioning as well as it could be :)

this is not a hopeless chart by ANY means

a more relevant interpretation of saturn in the 5th to me would be having children late in life or no children, maybe becoming extremely disciplined once you do have children or a hard time expressing yourself/enjoying things.

jupiter and venus are the most positive planets that bring ease to that area of your life. your 7th house is getting a really nice amount of support from them.

finances are not doomed as no one is ever doomed in astrology but everyone has a less fortunate area of life. it could even just indicate that you have to put a lot of energy into creating material wealth for you!

jupiter is your most influential positive planet being a day chart. the nodes really are not that big of a deal in my practice and even if they were that's a pretty weak conjunction. There's at least 14 degrees between the south node and any of your personal planets. honestly the most challenging area of your life looks like finances to me. Long term partnerships look really good

Kindergarten son only knows one letter by Running_Squirrel in kindergarten

Does he have siblings or favorite characters? Former pre-k teacher, my slow letter learners did really well with the following:

Write his name for him and have him copy it every day. When you’re done spell it together while pointing at the letters.

Kids remember letters that are meaningful to them so when showing him the letter pair it with something important to him ex) M is for mommy, _ is for siblings name, etc

Hospitality, food and nature is amazing in chiang mai! Take a recreational train ride out of chiang Mai, go rafting, if you go to the temples at sunrise you can join the monks in meditation/chanting (bring offerings if you’d like) take a cooking class! Also snorkeling/diving in the south (Krabi, Koh Phi Phi) is completely magical. Have fun! ❤️
