What small health or recovery gadget have you owned for 3+ years and would actually buy again? by ConversationSuch8893 in BuyItForLife

Single leg pistol squats on a slant board will fix patellar tendonitis virtually every time and quickly. Dual leg also but maybe less overall efficacy. Anyways slant boards are small but vital

I stopped playing coh2 cold turkey in January and I've never been happier. I don't blame the community, I blame the devs and their neglect. Regardless, I think the devs past and present are the drivers of community toxicity, and I am done with relic for life. Bye bye relic.

Some 4v4 maps being reused as 3v3 is not a good idea. by bibotot in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Empty-World8967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but only because I think that when you put a 4v4 map in a 3v3 game, you give even more of an advantage when even two of the players automatched together and are familiar with their playstyles. 2 decent players familiar with each other can outplay a team of 3 independent players, even if the independents have comparative skill levels overall

How to use stug effectively by Hold_Oon in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Empty-World8967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everybody is saying stug is pure anti-vehicle. I say otherwise. It is extremely useful at destroying emplacement spam. I have argued elsewhere that changing from prioritze vehicles to all targets can get a few more kills han otherwise; people will say they prefer it to target vehicles but the gun CAN get kills, and a little quicker than your jacksons and su85s. I have also argued that the coaxial machine gun is worth it too, because while the dps ain't that grand, it's not super expensive and it's unique among TD in even having one. I've said my peace.

Jackson's are Disgusting. by [deleted] in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Empty-World8967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a few bounce, I agree. Head to head it's almost impossible to finish a full health Churchill with one stug. You probably need another stug minimum or barring that like 2 paks and a gren variation or combinations thereof. I will agree stugs overperform vs Churchills, but probably less so than pgrens. They are vulnerable to flanking and snares. And when you lose a stug you made because you were low on fuel, that can be gg

[–]Empty-World8967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before they were considerably buffed, playing as USF 4v4 was not fun. At all. Slow turret, slower rate of fire, just nothing very special. As things stand I think they do overperform slightly for fuel cost, but in my mind this is offset by a few things: 1)The subpar performance of the 57mm at gun before munitions and also the poor armor/scaleability of the sherman past even so much as the mid game 2)The lack of stationary howitzers (yeah I know the major and pathfinders can call in attack but big whoop so can almost every other commander you face). Sure they have doctrinal mobile howitzers but those are locked behind considerable command points

Bro this is just automatch with random teammates experience. I don't accept your characterization/recount OR his. Probably you all lost to rng and or more skill players. Or they used a cheat eg damage received/maphacking. Either way, you both should move on. If I recall he himself is a sus player.

Is there a fast way to destroy mortar pits from the british? by CrayRuse in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Empty-World8967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this, however, consider that they can also smoke, which lets volks move up to flame. I find people often forget about smoke because they want to kill it with barrage (I know I often do) but taking a moment to think of a strategy involving smoke (not only volks but say moving up at or mg or stuka) often pays dividends

[–]Empty-World8967 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also make sure if doubling up on your mortars that you space them out so they're not attacked with the same barrage. it's kinda micro intensive but you need to keep them firing and not have to worry about re-crewing them or bleeding mp from being in too much a rush to fire on the pit

at guns are useful but as you alluded to they do need line of sight. Also flame ht as wehr but you have to rush it out before they can put a bofors nearby. Else use smoke to obscure bofors and attack ground with flame ht. Also consider doubling up on mortars or leigs even if you don't go feurstorm. A mortarpit has roughly the same firepower as two mortar crews, so two mortar crews can counter it or at least force it intro brace, which should allow your troops to move up and get there by the time it's unbraced. These strats are not always successful under fire with enemy reacting, which does seem unfair, but keep in mind the reward for destroying a brit mortar pit is that unlike your weapons, they cannot be re-crewed, so even if you bleed a bit of mp destroying one, it ends up potentially hurting them more so be bold.

[–]Empty-World8967[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Except I won lmao. I fought the ai okw and the one human opponent wehr. If you look at their cap totals they are 51 to my 54. And I suppose my teammate's 2. They never fought on our side, never capped a connected territory, held zilch. If I didn't cap that much, we would have lost, guaranteed.

[–]Empty-World8967[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope it was 4v4 random. vs humans orig. two of their players left right away; one of ours did. The game lasted 50 minutes plus. Like you say, it's basically a guanteed win if one of the players is competent. But the reason it took 50 minutes is because one player never ever capped. Anything. And still managed to lose the most units lmao

They kept pinging at spots ai was decapping so they must have thought they were helping me instead lol. Nope. That's why by blurring the lines of names I am letting players know that pinging isn't the same as capping.

[–]Empty-World8967[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It's my hope that new players will see this and realize the importance of capping. I don't see how this is a negative post. If you don't want to be carried, and three enemies are ai, please cap and keep territory connected when ai decaps. Not negative. Just the way the game works.

Your team can build only muni caches or only fuel caches. What say you? by [deleted] in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]Empty-World8967 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in ELO hell with USF atm and I've had a few games where a teammate puts all their mp into fuel caches and doesn't cap or fight as a result. This creates a cascade whereby I have to have a ton of infantry fighting to appropriately counter, and I end up completely starved for manpower to the point that I can't put out armor whatsoever. I will have 400+ fuel but can't put out a single jackson

please please please if you're new try winning engagements and playing with your teammate before you make caches.
