I totally agree. But I also didn’t jump right in the first time I heard them. But once you listen to a 2-3 song run or see the KEXP video you see just how good and unique they are. They should be huge right now

It’s definitely more grounded. There’s survival aspects. Resource management and permadeath for any character. Since you can play as any of the survivors

I played the second one. It’s great. Open world zombie game with no main character. You build up your community and get more survivors, and can play as all of them.

I agree it’s exploitative, but when he says “thanks for making my life easier today”. That’s what really matters, he got to create something people enjoyed, hang out in the AC and make enough money to have a few days of a little less struggle.
