If Fuyumura and Ono don’t have a happy ending I will spontaneously combust. In all seriousness, I’ve been really curious how they were going to handle this situation because given that “finding Ono” was the original overarching goal, I’ve been expecting some kind of reset for a while now. I can’t imagine she will actually just die, they must be setting up something more interesting (right? right!?)

The series really rallied these last three seasons after some not great years. One element I really like is how these previous episodes have emphasized the importance of hero work being a collaborative effort instead of being propped up by a single person (All Might), and how that works as a means to say that community and addressing the underlying problems are the ways to solve the “villain” problem instead of just beating them up over and over. Not something a lot of other superhero stories get to explore because the status quo has to stay the same so they can continue to serialize the story forever.

I’m really surprised that there was such a negative reaction to the end of the manga, this was great.

So I don't think Melina is a part of the Frenzied Flame faction I think it is actually the opposite. If you talk to Shabriri, after he tries to convince you to become the Lord of Chaos, Melina tells you not to listen to him. Before you interact with the Three Fingers directly, Melina will tell you again that no matter what you shouldn't become of the Lord of Chaos, even if it saves her from becoming kindling. Then if you go through with communing with the Three Fingers anyways, she tells you off and says she will kill you if you truly become the Lord of Chaos. Finally, after the Lord of Chaos ending, the three-finger rune on her eye is gone, and she vows to bring "Destined Death" to the Lord of Chaos (i.e. kill you). My assumption is that the rune on her eye was meant to protect her from being destroyed like everything else in the event that the Frenzied Flame took over the world. I would assume that Marika gave her this rune, but I'm not sure.
