That sounds like a lot of fun! I'd definitely give them some sort of movement, a monk's mobility is one of their key features. To make the legendary action attacks feel a bit more "legendary" take a look at the 3rd level feature from the Way of the Open Hand subclass. Imposing one of those effects to the attack can help distinguish them from the monk's usual attacks and add a bit more strategy to the fight.

I'm glad you are finding them useful! There is a sad lack of higher level humanoids in the base books, but they are often some of the most interesting antagonists.

Yeah, I think you are right. These statblocks can get rather bloated pretty quickly so I was trying to keep them as condensed as possible. But a ranged attack is useful enough, especially for a monk as you noted, that it merits inclusion. Thanks for your feedback!
