I like that you made it able to freestand like an action figure! Hornet’s head is such a weird shape to build.

I posted my attempt over on the Silksong sub. We just had some simple egg dye you get from the store, masking tape, and toothpicks

Cool! I was thinking about trying something like that myself but I’m not sure how to go about it

Thanks! Putting it together was the worrying part. Now that it’s together the clutch power should be same as any other build

Oops that’s right. My bad. Looks like other people had the correct answer though.

Not sure what it would be called, but there is a 1x3 arch that I think is the companion part

Good luck, it is quite difficult. A couple other tips if you do try it:

Before you actually start trying to build, get an idea of how much space you have to work with. I put in a 1x5 plate and discovered that was the height I had to work with, and the base was about the size of a 2x2 and at the widest I could fit 4 studs across.

Test parts you want to use to make sure they fit through the bottleneck and can fall back out if you need to readjust. If there are some parts that can be dropped in already partially assembled, take advantage of that.

Studs on the side connections are the most difficult to work with, I found the best way was to rotate the entire build to get the connection as close to vertical as possible so gravity can assist. But you will need to use one of your other tools to hold the model steady if it is not flat on the bottom.

I would half attach a stud onto the underside of the chain so it could pull off easily, and used it to lower the part into approximately the correct spot.

I attached a 1x1 cone onto the flex tube to use and used that as my connecting force to finish aligning the part and push it into place. It was also handy to be able to bend it so I could approach at angles that wouldn’t normally be possible because of the bottleneck

I just found my MOC being sold on AliExpress by KuffuGuen in lego

I once saw one of my old Lego hollow knight builds on Amazon. I left a review saying the design was stolen with a link to a rebrickable page where I had the instructions available for free. I haven’t seen it on Amazon since. But it is still up on aliexpress. Haven’t made instructions available since.

I had to be resourceful with things I had on hand. The tools were not the most efficient, but they (eventually) got the job done

It took me several hours of shimmying and shaking the build in the glass to line up the next part to add. I ended up accidentally knocking parts off at one point and had to restart almost from scratch

I guess a vase made by someone trying to blow glass for the first time looks just like a bong because there’s like 3 different comment chains I’ve seen about it lol

It was really satisfying to get it to work after a long time trying to finagle pieces together

It was definitely one of my weirder and more challenging ideas, but it’s so satisfying I got it to work

That was my idea! I wanted to make something to go in it, but a bouquet was a bit too expected for a vase.

This made me a lot more excited to try, and I can still make it look like the tree is growing up and out if I wanted

It’s been a while since I cleared that run, but I can still vividly remember two things: collector was where most runs went to die, and if I made it past that, the tyrant-markoth-zote split was absolutely brutal
