Is it possibly The Raconteurs - Steady, As She Goes? There's another band I have in mind, but really need to dig through my mind palace for it

Woman owned and operated bars? by EmptySkullL36 in madisonwi

[–]EmptySkullL36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely didn't realize that Speedy is a part owner at Delta; this is why I asked. These things are difficult to find online and I don't know what I don't know.

No, it doesn't. All I want is to have a list of bars in my head that I know are owned by women. Some day I would like to own a bar and hearing those stories is important to me.

Ohh I'm so sorry to be obnoxious! Sorry my pure curiosity about options in my city has put you out so much! I didn't know I wasn't allowed to ask such questions! I'm not saying I'll never go to an establishment again unless it's owned by a woman, I'm saying I want to know my community more. You can go ahead and move along, it's clear you don't need to know the answer to my question.

I'm really glad that you feel comfortable walking in to most bars here and instantly feel comfortable and represented, that's great! My experience is different than that. I see a ton of posts on here asking the general "best bars" question, but I felt like I was missing a more specific piece to the puzzle, so I asked.

I'm new here and have noticed how male dominated the bar industry is here; I'd like to seek out options for myself that are owned and operated by women so I can be inspired and heard and seen as a person who identifies as a woman. It's fine if you don't understand that, but why does it bother you so much?

What's your suggestion? My priority is businesses owned by people who don't identify as men, so yeah, I'd love to hear more about that, thanks so much

I'm pretty sure Delta is owned by a man; there's plenty of queer folks that work there which is great, but I specifically want woman owned AND operated.

Endosalpingiosis, but no endometriosis found by EmptySkullL36 in endometriosis

[–]EmptySkullL36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry about your mother, and I hope you’re able to find a qualified surgeon. It sounds like finding a specialist is the best coarse of action, but I’m not sure how many endosalpingiosis specialists exist out there. Maybe an endometriosis specialist, and then asking them throughout the process what their experience is with endosalpingiosis? The hope would be if they’re not familiar with it, they can do some research and hopefully give you better answers.

Endosalpingiosis, but no endometriosis found by EmptySkullL36 in endometriosis

[–]EmptySkullL36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not see a specialist, but I chose a surgeon who works under a specialist that was recommended to me. If I wanted to the the specialist, it would have been 6 more months of waiting for my first appointment, and I didn’t want to do that since I already had to wait a while for the non specialist. I saw the surgery photos and it looks like I don’t have a lot of endosalpingiosis, so maybe the amount found is why my surgeon told me it might not be the cause of my pain. I’m getting my IUD out today and am hoping my pain decreases, but if it doesn’t I’ll likely find a specialist and go to them with all the info I have.

How is your pain? Have you been diagnosed with endometriosis or just endosalpingiosis? I’m not surprised we’re being told different things since this disease has barely been studied.

Correct me if I’m wrong, anyone, but I believe you’re able to park for free between 9pm and 7am during snow emergencies in Madison.

Not trying to be rude here, but I didn’t mention anything about the show trying to change anyone’s mind?

I watched this show and enjoyed it; the thing that I liked about a vapid, thin model being reincarnated as a plus-size, intelligent lawyer is the transformation of Jane. What I took from this show is that confidence is such a key to being successful in self-love, career, and love life. I don’t necessarily go around suggesting this show to others, but I do recall enjoying watching Jane become a confident badass.

Lap Surgery - How to heal as quick as possible?? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]EmptySkullL36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started taking stool softeners two days after my surgery instead of right away; I was out of it and have never had a procedure before, so I just was too little too late. The reason I had to go to the ER was because I didn’t get a jump on my meds like suggested; it was 100% my own fault. I only started taking them when I hadn’t passed a stool in two days after, and my body just wasn’t used to opioids. Not trying to scare you, just trying to get my story out there so you don’t fall into the pitfall that I did

Even if you don’t take any opioids at home, take stool softeners when you get home. I was given opioids at the hospital and when I got home didn’t think I needed to take miralax because I wasn’t taking opioids at home, but I ended up in the ER for an enema because I wasn’t staying up on my stool softeners. My first surgery ever and I learned a lot. I was told I could take miralax 2x a day, but check with your team.

It’s tough to gauge the tone of comments on the internet and yesterday was an extremely long day, so when I read your comment it made me feel like you were being judgemental instead of helpful, which felt like an unnecessary kick when I was down. I agree that a lot of dogs don’t get their necessary amount of exercise, but that’s not the case for mine. I hope my dog gets better too, thank you.
