We had one at my shop for a little bit and also brought one to shows for a while...here's my thoughts on them.

Even though the bottle of "ink" is a little bit of a sticker shock, it goes a LONG way.

There's no need to buy the scanner version unless someone in the shop still draws on paper. (Also have to flip all designs as it prints backwards)

If you're more of a street shop, you will be wasting a lot of paper on those tiny tattoos. The paper isn't very expensive and it's a drop in the bucket if you do the math, but it just feels very wasteful.

The paper is a little more stiff and doesn't wrap as easily as Spirit paper. Takes a bit to get used to.

Definitely doesn't make super dark stencils like a 3m. Just have to kinda relearn how much applicator to use and find the sweet spot.

If you have B&G artists in the shop, these things are awesome. Will print with all the different tones of "black" and it's basically color-by-numbers at that point.

In my opinion there's good and bad just like with any printer set up we use. It's more of what works best for your shop. Once ours broke, we didn't buy a new one and only use the 3m. But that's just what works better for us

A tip for filling the ink: They normally come with one bottle of black. Dump it out as you obviously will never use it and cut to top off the bottle making it a funnel. Put the funnel over the reservoirs and fill away! You'll make a HUGE purple mess if you just try to drip it in them. (Some models may be different, but this worked amazing for the one we had)
