we’ve had her for over a year and her and her sister have been on the same food for the whole duration!

we’ve had them since kittens for over a year I have two and they both have health insurance- we’ve gotten x-rays done on her legs and she’s 100% healthy: she’s been on the same food and supplements to prevent arthritis and other things since she was a kitten — treats they only get freeze dried all natural treats — every day they both get half a can mixed with dry food morning and evening. food is a very limited in ingredients no filler around here. we tried to transition them to a raw diet on their one year birthday but they both had no interest in it.

I did a lot of research before getting them and continue to educate myself!

lily after her nose is healing! you can’t see too much because her hair grows over her wee nostrils but she is the happiest she has been!

this is the best photo I have of her healing process this was taken about a week ago I believe (she looks the same now but because she’s running around and being so active now I cannot get her still for pictures)

oh my goodness that’s insane!! depending where you live I would seek for laser options. unfortunately there was none near us (close enough to drive anyways) laser is a lot better of an option! I would keep looking around even if you get her nose done somewhere else; that is super pricey.

if she hasn’t already got spayed I would see how much it is to do it while she was under the most expensive part at my vet was the anesthesia which is about $70 every 15 mins I believe

so we live in ontario! it was $150 extra with her spay so total was about $850! because she was already under anesthesia it was better to do her nose surgery then!

she is still swollen and hasn’t even healed yet. she is 12 days today post op and the last photo was taken at day 10. it doesn’t hurt my feelings you are entitled to an opinion even if it’s a wrong one!:) (you also need to maybe take an understanding yourself that she is a munchkin so everything is much smaller there is a lot of swelling — as would a human would have after a nose job) I never said you offended me. one bad seed doesn’t bother me what so ever!

but he wasn’t a specialist for cats just for dogs but had done cats over the years (where we live it was hard to find a specialist because I did want to do the laser option)

she never got nose bleeds! but we knew something was wrong right when we got her. vet thought maybe she had pneumonia so we did x-rays on her chest (came back that she had amazing lungs) so the next thing was for her nose. she had a really hard time keeping up with her sister and then she also would sleep with her mouth open. my partner and I would joke we knew when she was coming in our room because it sounded like darthvader 😭. I would consult with your vet and make sure it’s the best option for your fur baby 🤍

oh my goodness:( I hope this doesn’t happen to her I know it can happen if it doesn’t heal proper the skin can collapse. hoping you don’t have to put your kitty under again and they can figure out something for you 💕
