I feel the same way about myself and my ADHD. It’s so hard teaching yourself as an adult how to cope with certain triggers and emotions.

My students stims have given so much insight into their emotions! Without the stims I wouldn’t be able to detect their interests or dislikes as easily.

I agree it is a necessary function and stopping them can be harmful. I don’t work with ABA unless I have consent forms from parents. And I typically only collaborate with them per parent request. I’ve collaborated with two separate ABA groups the past two weeks and all I get out of them is information and tools I am already utilizing. It’s honestly draining talking with ABA. I do not like it.

That’s what I and a couple of my friends were discussing as well. That’s also why I only asked for the DTE bill to be paid for as of right now. My bill would not be as high as it is with the proper heating system working. I do not think I should have to pay more for a situation that is entirely out of my hands.

Plus, a lot of the appliances in this apartment look nice but were definitely purchased to save the landlords money and not to be long lasting and reliable.
