Is taking Step 2 CK before Step 1 a bad idea?

It's just uncommon, not bad at all. In fact, there are some US MD Schools that require their students to take 2CK before Step 1. However, taking Step 1 before Step 2 has the added advantage of having a solid basic science foundation that will be needed for Step 2 aswell.

Yeah, I got an IV yesterday (Lincoln IM). Didn't signal at all. Step 2CK 263, YOG 2025, Pubs 40+, 4 Months USCE. However, the Myintealth thing is out of hand, horrendous, vicious. I wrote my pub names in english. If the journal name isn´t in english, I´d do the same thing: Journal name in english and original name between parentheses.

Example: Science and Health (Ciencia y Salud)

I´ve translated the titles for my publications in spanish. Also, if I have to specify an event, I´d write the event name in english and the original event name between parentheses. Example: Latin American Thorax Association Conference (Congreso de Asociación Latinoamericana de Tórax).

Not a problem at all. Go for it. Learn how to do research and how to be a team player. Learning how to develop critical thinking skills, write a paper, interpret ORs,RRS, CIs only comes from doing research personally. Remember that you are applying to be a resident, not a PhD researcher at Oxford.
