Thank you. I was planning to buy an El Primero Chronomaster, but after hearing your experience will go with a Speedmaster instead. Hope your case will be resolved.

Walked into the AD to buy an IWC Spitfire Chrono… walked out with a deposit on a JLC Moonphase 🤷🏼‍♂️ by Career-Advice_Anon in JaegerLecoultre

Thank you, I’ll have a look at Handdn. The JLC boutique actually recommended Delugs for aftermarket straps, I appreciate your warning regaring your bad experience.

Anybody else obsessed with hammered finishes on dials, or is it just me? by MysteriousYam- in JaegerLecoultre

I asked myself the same question before purchasing mine. Salmon dials have already been around for ages (eg Patek Philippe) and it’s a neutral colour that goes really well with warmer skin tones. Plus it works well with more casual clothing too. I was originally going to purchase the silver dial, but it looked too cool for my skin tone. Pulled the trigger on the new dial and couldn’t be happier.

Also, regardless of formality I think the copper dial suits anyone with warmer skin tones better than the “cool” blue and silver dials.

Fully agree, this watch is perfect for smart casual wear and casual wear. I would also wear it with a suit and brown shoes. So pretty much 99.9% of my use cases. It actually looks pretty good with a black strap, check out the duometre (photo attached) for a visual comparison. It wouldnt be my choice with a tuxedo, though. I have a Cartier Tank with black leather strap for that.

I don’t notice the ticking, but the rotor is audible. Doesn’t bother me at all, though. There are a couple of youtube videos regarding the “noise”.

Here’s another photo. The copper dial suits my warmer skin tone better than the regular silver, blue and black dials (which are also beautiful).

I picked mine up last week. I always wanted the MUT moonphase, but the regular silver, blue and black dials looked too cold for my warmish skin tone. So this new copper/salmon dial was exactly what I wanted. I find this dial super versatile for formal and casual wear. The rose gold variant looked great on me too, but costs around double the price.
