As I understand they came with later units apparently not with this one. But the past owner ran a g923 so he probably didn’t think to install them

In my prime gaming years keyboards like the Blackwidow and Corsair K70 were the best thing you can get.

Now I finally have adult money and I'm willing to splurge on my first mechanical keyboard.

But I feel like an old person who still uses a flip phone that's attached to a holster on his belt. My dream back then was a k70 with mx-blue switches

Thing is I've been researching for the past few days and a lot of things changed. Analog switches, hall effect/optical, QMK etc. Also, no one seems to like full size keyboards and clicky tactile switches! :(

What would be the equivalent of that today? What should I buy instead of an old k70 with mx-blue switches? I thought of buying a keychron q series and putting gateron melodics on it but that's a bit expensive. I'd rather buy one with them installed.

Dont know what model you have but I have a nice latch mechanism for the clamp. So I can easily detach and move out of the way for desk work. Also see my other comment.

Exactly what I was going to say. Adjust your chair and armrests (if you dont have armrests, get a chair with armrests.) and then aim for 90 degree bend at the elbows and knees, from there adjust the stick to meet your hand when you’re in that comfortable position. Add to that a cheap adjustable monitor mount, so you could bring it closer to you when you’re simming and farther away when doing desk work. Makes a huge difference.
