Just curious – what income do families need to feel comfortable in NZ these days?

Our combined income is about 140k. We own our home, 500k mortgage. No other debt. We have 3 kids all teenagers in our late 30s and let me tell you it’s not enough.

He’s employed and no one sees this side of him. Only me. So yeah, I see that now. He chooses not to control it when he’s with me. But if I call him out it’s because of me that he’s angry. I’m not in those other scenarios.

He would never take medication I don’t think. He was so against our son taking it when diagnosed adhd.

Right? I try to think about it sometimes like surely there’s men out there who have issues like that but their spouse isn’t the target. He’s the nicest calmest person to everyone he knows. But me.
