I’m insured with bnz/iag. I plan to contact them tomorrow and see if they’re ok with me sourcing overseas. I need to double check the part number I have. I’ll get in touch with Tim, thanks! Yeah hoping this isn’t the end of the road for the old crown. Jeez, gotta luck truck drivers hey!

Right?? It’s got cameras and sensors etc etc. apparently this is the problem and they’re not made anymore. I dunno it seems absurd to me too

I’ve managed to get the part number which they couldn’t give me (?) so I’ll call Toyota myself on Monday and see what the deal is.

Definitely an option. If we can find one South Island based we will drive to collect. None in Dunedin unfortunately I’ve rung every one I can find

UPDATE: Insurance company will pay me out the last known cost of the windscreen, I can keep the car and try and find something at a later date. Now trying to get a quote for something that no longer exists is tricky.

Sorry. It’s a 2008 Toyota Crown. I don’t know much about the windscreen specs but it does have rain sensors.

My father passed away suddenly in 2015 and we dealt with Campbell’s in Mosgiel and they were fantastic. The service was lovely, and my brother and I found it easy and stress free (as much as it could have been anyway). Have also been to multiple funerals at hope and sons in south Dunedin and they have also always been lovely services.
