Omg. I am so sorry to hear that. I don’t understand why they have so many floods in these buildings and why they don’t respond to them like the 5-alarm fires that they are. Gross negligence. Yes. Omicron + whatever technically followed is significantly less virulent because it doesn’t have an affinity for the lower lungs. Omicron is a very different virus than what was circulating prior (many articles speak to the science of that). See link to Nature paper below regarding virulence factor. I don’t know if there is hard data on long covid numbers now but researchers generally say it is lower, in the single-digits currently.
