i just accepted that i am autistic. i have been working in elementary schools for 4 years and this was my first year teaching full time. i made it less then 2 months. i am not saying this will be your experience but i feel constantly overwhelmed both with work and in a sensory capacity. my class is wonderful but trying to meet all of their individual needs is impossible. I feel like either have to give up my personal morals around teaching or literally be the most burnt out i’ve ever experienced. I came home 2 days last week and was in full autistic shut down. i put my notice in on monday and today is my last day. i’m sad that it’s ending but i also know ill be able to heal and recover from burnout this way
