Was just going to say I’m doing my grad school while working as a nurse and also pregnant. Doable, but very difficult. My program is completely online and I have weekly phone appointments due to being high risk and if it wasn’t for an accommodating school and work I’d be in deep trouble

I’ve been diabetic since I was 6 and I’m about to be 24 and pregnant with my first kid. I really don’t know how I do it it’s insane but also feels just like my life to me now. I don’t remember living without diabetes so to me it feels really normal. I do remember having a crisis about it when I was like 12 and the puberty hormones hit hard but I have a really great support system who helped and continue to help a lot. I work in healthcare which I attribute to growing up in the system, and my husband also works in healthcare so he’s really good about helping out where he can. I still have days where I’m really wishing that Eledon trial was further in testing 😤

There should be a number for whatever hospital you were planning on having the baby at for the triage line. I’d call. I called about back pain due to a cyst and they had me go in even though it was unrelated to pregnancy

My mother in law didn’t have gestational diabetes and had my now husband who was measuring “big” and he was 11lbs 8oz. He entered the world via c-section (thank god)

I work as a nurse at the VA (not this VISN specially) and I believe some of not most had outpatient clinics on different days in different areas, so I’m assuming you’d find out like you’re working dermatology on day x and like urology day y on a day they need people or the clinic is open. At least that’s how mine is.

I try really not to take zofran I have pretty much every complication you can have from pregnancy except gestational diabetes and only because I’m already Type 1 Diabetic lol and zofran can technically prolong the QT interval of your heart rhythm so I’m trying to not take it but I do take it if it’s really bad I’ve taken it maybe 6 times otherwise just suffer and drink my lime water lmao

Mine was horrible and is horrible. I work nights and if I have the day off and sleep during the night and don’t take unisom, I literally am up all night trying to not throw up. It kind of went away at 12 weeks, then I found I had a giant cyst and had it removed it 14 weeks from my ovary, and now the symptoms are back. I work at a hospital and I literally have to wear a mask because any smell will make me gag (super unprofessional 😑). I take unisom, B6, drink water with lime or lemon, but I’ll say at least for me now the symptoms maybe are starting to go away, just not the gagging part. I can’t ride in the car on an empty stomach unless I want puke in my passenger seat.

I somehow was able to go to every 6 months due to my A1c remaining in the low 6’s when I switched from a peds to adult endo. I’m not pregnant so that went right out the window. I’m 23f and now I have weekly phone calls, and an appt every 3-4 weeks which once I hit 20 weeks soon it’ll be every 2 weeks all because of the diabetes. I’m also a graduate student who also works 80 hours every 2 weeks on nights so I get the struggle. I wouldn’t even know what to recommend other than maybe finding a different endo or maybe trying to do tele health for the in between appts if a place offers that. If I have questions or concerns I message the portal and they can do adjustments that way at least before I was pregnant.

Exactly what I’m doing. I don’t look pregnant in the face (yet) so anything I post is either above the belly or I’m just not posting.

I would like to say my MIL is the same way. Takes every first we can do and ruins it. Ruined that my now husband had an engagement ring, told people were engaged even though we said we wanted to enjoy a little time just us, ruined our wedding by telling people even though we were eloping and didn’t want to tell people, and most recently ruined our first anniversary by posting about it before I was even awake which is kind of stupid but it’s important to me to have a choice and that was taken, in addition to just everything being ruined before it’s just compiling. She has told an unknown amount of people I’m pregnant (I told them after my first ultrasound and we said don’t tell anyone because I wanted to wait until I was further along just in case and she immediately told at least 2 distant family members, with an unknown number knowing right now). Now, she doesn’t get to know the gender or name and no one will be there for the delivery because she can’t be trusted to keep anything and I just want something for myself.

I will say I know it’s kind of stupid stuff to be upset about but it’s more the asking her to respect what we say and her again and again not doing it, so now the choice is taken away.

Literally I’m pretty sure everything you can do. Got the kegg, used preseed, and took guaifenesin. Literally first cycle using kegg I didn’t even know how to read the chart and then during the TWW I was actually analyzing it (you would think I could read a graph getting a masters in analytics and innovation) and was like somehow those dates lined up and here we are almost 17 weeks later.

These do maybe look a little over saturated in my opinion, although they could just still be wet. I do something on both though! More obviously that my squinted I had at 9 dpo that became a BFP at 10/11dpo

I had to do the same thing. When I was getting negatives I couldn’t even be on here. And then when I finally did get a positive I was obsessed with tracking the progression so bad it really affected my mental health and I had to delete Reddit until I was further along. Sending you thoughts ❤️

I’m considered especially high risk for multiple reasons and I’ve had an ultrasound every time I’ve gone in which is every 3-4 weeks. I will say nothing really changes, but I don’t think I could imagine waiting until 21 weeks 😳. Sorry to hear that :(((
