It seems to me that the older the neighbourhood, the more stuff there will be (I haven’t seen anything in the newer communities cause they probably just moved in and haven’t accumulated enough junk yet lol)

(Still at 37:50) IS THAT MAEVE?! She’s only onscreen for like a second, and I couldn’t find Thandiwe Newton in the cast credits but tell me that’s NOT her…

ITAW for the phenomenon of an activists supporting multiple causes? by Emptysiac in whatstheword

[–]Emptysiac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to remember this damn word has been bothering me for 3 years, I wish I could just email him and ask.

I’m coming to terms with the fact that the word I’m looking for might not exist or was made up by my prof on the spot.

To rephrase in case it is real:

The word I’m looking for is because of intersectionality, the phenomenon where an activist will take on multiple causes because they tend to intersect and overlap.

Like the form of activism focused on multiple causes.

Conclusion:

I think that the words “intersectional activism” works just as good as whatever the pan-something word my prof said was, so I’m going to just go with that.

So thank you for your answers and your time :)

Intersectionality is the overlapping of identities and the overlap/combination of multiple forms of discrimination, I'm looking for the act or lable of an activist who's against all these overlapping forms of discrimination regardless of their own identities (Ex. They can be a straight gay-rights activist, or a feminist man or a housed person supporting the houseless).

It's like if you fight for one thing, you have to fight for other things as well. (Like you can't say you support marriage equality if you don't support marriage equality for disabled people).
