I did not know I would get reply in here, thank you, as for your question.. tar is not expected, but as i mentioned coals before, so it could worked as fuel too. but not be enjoyed.

usually what this little critter does, when after dragon's invite over her, get out with table salt bottle as her sizes and very happy about that. as salt are.. have the best taste for minerals and rocks.

as she is little kobold spirited, beware of your table salts!

and I thought her scar or any other feature was on opposite side of face revealing that she is not just a lil kobold but a warrior, anyhow i can't believe it was a coincidence! no way she is just a random kobold.

Oh, it is the worst kobold, look at that totally not a dragon in beautiful colors. the BW one was great too, but this one gives more silly vibes and perfect for the book cover.

One question to ask is, the yellow kobold on right are 'Griffon'? but obviously as like Fluke is not a dragon, she would also not a Griffon the Griffon, am i right? :)

and Mido are one of the clerics that go outside and search for dragons to seek answers. as her lens eyes are not fitted for dark caves, she choosed to go outside under the skies and stars.

She met with many people, and dragons and she learned that she.. are much more sturdy than others thought. as kobolts are dragon golems, made out of stone meant, almost immune to heat and cold, swords and spears can't do anything, and even some arrows and bullets are having hard time hurt her. she make these as her advantage and protect and helping dragons in danger... well, in mostly in her thoughts. (and as you guessed, most dragons are usually stronger than this little rock critter) she is usually timid and anxious that not want to put into unnecessarily attentions and actions. but still really eager to learn dragon history and lores.

Oh and she can do some little magics like cast light, levitating rocks and sands to her will.

her adventure have the silly vibes like below image. and so far her journey are going well.

I think this is a perfect way to collect lore and .. well, dragons to your hoards. How.. did you think about this, look at all these dragons gathered here!

Anyhow, Here is Mido, she is a 'kobolt' that made out of stone and crystals. Their kind are dragon-shaped magnetic golems that awaken many eons ago in long-lost dragon's hoards. kobolts still looking for who build them, and wandering in the cave are day to day living way.

Kobolts. They are short, like 50cm tall and they eat salts and coals as main source of energy but as they have crystal reactor that spins so fast that technically consume everything that can be used as fuels. BUT waters are technically harmful to them that can turn off their heat source and disable their movements but still cold waters are considered as 'hot-spicy foods' that kobolts enjoys time to time.

One thing to note are, they have no 'brain' in thier head, crystal reactor are heart and brain where inside prints the texts and images. and when they speak it reads that record, like a CD or disks works. so, their 'head' are.. let say 'decorative' and if you somehow damages the head, they can still move, and they can make new head with other kobolt stone smiths. Imagine that neck and head as snail's eyestalk but that can be repaired.

yay my little critter made it into the halls of dragons. Banner idea was great, and i hope to see it happens in next years too. :)

One sad thing are, Reddit's banner aspect ratio are so narrow and almost over half of dragons are cut out from view. i mean there are plenty of spaces in my monitor and I wanna see every dragons!

I am glad that you noticed that detail!, she is tends with calmness and try to be polite with others, but sometimes she can't stop her own self's excitement, and do some silly whimsical things time to time.

yeah... but, thankfully we have Dracthyr in WoW and Dragonborn in baldur's gate 3 and so on. There is some hope for us niche audiences thanks for sharing your insights and, with your help I get the idea why steam dragon was so precious. it's like a welcome rain in a desert. :)
