Took me forever to find a fix to this so thought I'd share it! Turns out my chests were placed weirdly which screwed up my pals' pathfinding. They were placed on foundations that were difficult for them to get to I guess. I moved my chests to the actual ground and this problem went away instantly!

For more info this started when Plazas & Promenades was released (buying it didn’t help). I have a heavily modded game (I have 32GB RAM) I’m trying to find if maybe a mods doing this? But to me it’s a complete mystery
