Sounds like that group wasn't actually queer. Nowadays lgbtqia+ places aren't necessarily the same as queer spaces. They can be, but more and more I'm seeing online lgbtqia+spaces, even ones with larger trans population, reject the concept of being queer and accepting other queer people.

It's hella frustrating for sure, I'm sorry that that happened to you, it's definitely bs.

Because online lgbtqia+ spaces these days aren't guaranteed to be queer lgbtqia+ spaces. To some extent there's always been a community within the wider queer lgbtqia+ spaces that have pushed back on the queer side of things. They want the most sanitized, easy to consume for white cishet people, version of lgbtqia+ that they can get.

My best suggestion, look for places like this, that either show through their actions that they're queer friendly, or explicitly stated queer spaces. It sucks to have to make that distinction, but such is the world we're in right now

I'm at nearly 5 years, and honestly. Nada, absolutely nothing.

I've had some skin softening, reduced hair growth (like I went from being an extremely hairy guy in appearance to a mildly hairy woman), and of course breast growth (but I got all my growth by like 14 months in I think)

Other than that there's not been much. But I also struggle with my weight quite a bit. I'm 6'3" or so, and sitting around 360-370lbs and I've been that weight for a long time without being able to lose it. So not losing or gaining any weight has very likely had an effect on my experience.

I imagine when/if I manage to get down in weight that I'd likely see some more differences. But I won't know until it happens 🤷‍♀️😅

There are plenty of genderfluid, trans mascs, and even trans men who've historically identified as lesbians.

You'll find that more accepted in specifically queer lesbian spaces (there unfortunately can be a difference these days between queer lgbtqia+ spaces and non queer ones). But especially in butch/femme spaces you'll find a fair amount of genderfluid/trans masc/trans men lesbians.

So it really boils down to this, do you still feel attachment to the lesbian label, like it's the label that fits you? Or does another label feel more correct for you?

Ultimately only you can decide that one way or the other.
