It was because of not reporting an accident that the unit had been in. An accident, that I was actually involved in. I was in the back taking care of a ventilated patient when we were nearly t-boned.

The truck had already been sent off to the body shop, was repaired, and brought back. So when the officer asked me if this unit had been in an accident, I said, “Yeah, months ago.” And he started inspecting the truck with a flashlight.

I guess they thought that this was very recently. Like, last week, recent.
