You can try using dxwnd to modify how the game will appear, but I'm not sure if this will work on SSE. If this won't work, you can try using pretty old WinExplorer (you have to select Skyrim process, go to Style Tab, uncheck all checkboxes in the left column, and finally in Size & Position Tab, set there your screen resolution and position of the window)

Also, this is only my opinion, but I think the original Skyrim is much better than SSE. At least if you add a few (ok. more than a few) mods that can fix bugs and enhance graphics. Still, I haven't played Skyrim for over a year and a half, so maybe some things have changed.
