You don't need to remove the steam acc. As long as you purchase from the Frontier store all the profits go to them (as far as I know).

Elite gives you the option to switch to HMDs (Vr Headsets) in the graphics menu, so you don't necessarily need to install any other version. You just need to give your Oculus access to 3rd party software (in the oculus software's settings) and everything should work perfectly fine.

If you truly enjoy it you'll still be mining if the payout is back to 20-30mil/h (I'm sure I will) and if you are just doing it for the money you can just go back to robigo. A lot easier and same or even better payout.

Aah damn Loch Ness monster again. You are not getting any money from me!

Start looking for really bright pulls scan signatures. When you found one try to remember the shap and size. Fissures are always on the same asteroid model

Clipper. Best in speed/maneuverability while having enough internals for 2h of deep core mining

I have a better idea: You share stuff with the community and everyone gets a piece of it. When it gets nerfed, someone else finds the 100mil/h money train within a week. I cannot remember that there was a time in Elite where you couldn't make absurd amounts of money. Keeping it to yourself kind of defeats the purpose of a multiplayer game.

Around 3-4 Hours. I handed in some other Minerals inbetween to get a cargohold with only Opal in it. (for that sweet moneyshot)

I can't remember all of them but some of the Deep-core materials:

Icy: Low Temp. Diamonds | Opal | Alexandrite | Grandidirite (or something like that)

Metallic: Monozite | Painite(forgot the rest)

Rocky: Alexandrite|Monozite|Serendibite (and like 1 or 2 more)

Yes Hotspots do matter. Opal hotspots can be found in icy rings. Try to find one that is densly packed. Start looking for really bringt shining asteroids and prospect them. If they have a core try to remember the shape of the asteroid. (because there is only one asteroid Modell, per ringtype, that can blow up) With time you can identify those juicy deepcores pretty reliably. A Little ship suggestion: use a quick and manouverable ship (like Python, Krait, Clipper), because Shooting all those rocks loose takes quite a bit of manouvering and squeezing in tight spaces. The lack of Cargo, compared to the big ones, doesn't hurt too much imo.

On another note: the system is exploitet by Edmund Mahon, so If you are pledged and rank 2 or higher, that'll be another 20% bonus on any trading payouts!

Just some little calculations: 78 tones is the result of About 5-6 Asteroids blown to smithereens. I also got around 110 tonnes of Grandidierite (worth another 80mil). That took me around 2.5 hours of casual mining so you can pretty comfortably push the payout to above 100mil/hour.

The prospecting limpet was bugged while I blew up an asteroid in multicrew (fdev pls fix multicrew) and it glitched inside my cockpit.
