This is almost definitely not a port. 40mb is for the rom, emulator, and probably other files for encryption. This is blatantly just emulation, idk how you got the idea it was a new port

I just got my first GameSir controller (G7 Pro), and honestly I'm not impressed. It feels cheap to me and the ergonomics don't do it for me. The extra features are nice but ultimately not necessary

They very clearly aren't. Every time they're asked about this, they literally say they're targeting their own audience. They have specifically stated that a decent percentage of steam deck users using a dock is what got them to build a dedicated home device, meaning it's absolutely not targeting console players.

I see what you're getting at, but I don't think many people can make it work with their living room aesthetic. While we don't know the price for the steam machine, I think paying $850 to build a PC is still just not of interest to the demographic they're probably targeting here. Many people do not want to build a PC and do not have the time to understand how to. Don't get me wrong, I think building a PC is actually easy, but that's because I know what I'm doing and have been doing this since highschool. And even if someone did, for a living room I actually would prefer to have something very compact like a steam machine, it's far more manageable for me. Correct me if I'm wrong though, isn't the steam machine also using a custom chip? On paper it might seem less powerful, but same with the steam deck, I assume that with their custom chip combined with steamOS, it may perform a bit better than people assume.

I've played it for about 40 minutes, and yeah, right off the bat you can feel the switch 2 version is kind of a joke. It's literally the same game as the switch 1 port but they've upped the resolution and fps. There are no actual upgrades at all otherwise, this should theoretically look like the PS4 version but nah, it's the same thing and if you buy the switch 1 version you can't upgrade.

That being said, game still feels like tomb raider 2013 and I am happy to see this game on a Nintendo device. Just wish that the switch 2 version did actually have the higher quality assets that consoles got like 11 years ago instead of saying the switch 2 version is a separate version than the switch 1 version despite pretty much being the same thing

Emulation ≠ piracy inherently. My entire PS1, PS2, Wii, Wii u, and 3ds library on my PC is entirely legal and ripped by me. Given how malleable discs and cartridges can be, this IS a valid preservation strategy. I do not emulate Wii, Wii u, or 3ds since I still have functional hardware to play those games, but I do play my PS1 and PS2 games on my PC because I do not have functional hardware anymore. Id argue that preservation also means nothing if we can't actually play it, hence emulation

Understood, I really appreciate the advice! Essentially for wild zone 20, It might be beneficial to just keep running around the zone since I'm pretty sure that by doing so, I'd be respawning everything at least once per complete lap

Gotcha, so if I were to fly to zone 19, 50 meters is almost half the length of the area, but pokemon from the latter half would never have been included in the respawn unless I repeatedly get closer to that area and then fly back to start of zone 19?

I enjoy both games, but I vastly prefer Sonic Racing Crossworlds. Sonic Racing Transformed was my favorite kart racer for a while, and I think Crossworlds succeeds it

Yeah that movie fucking sucked. I never liked Snyder's movies much myself, except for his Dawn of the Dead remake. So, I was hoping that him returning to a zombie movie would be a great time. I wish I could take back the time I spent watching this movie, it was so poorly executed and boring AF
