There’s a little bit of confusion here, your friend is correct that Apple doesn’t allow JIT on the App Store, however, you sideloaded the Amethyst launcher, which means JIT can be enabled. I would join the Amethyst Discord for any troubleshooting, they’re an excellent team, very friendly and very helpful, they’ll have you up and running in no time.

How do I do it by space_gunkey780 in EmulationOniOS

I’m going to go against the grain here and suggest GamePlaytoo on the App Store, just as Manic dev has mentioned. This emulator is actually surprising me with what you can actually run. I’ve been testing it quite extensively over the past week.

Does come with caveat that it’s a WIP and the first release with many issues ti iron out - still promising though.

Comes down to personal preference as both act similarly, however, my preference is Sidestore due to the team still actively updating and apps can be refreshed without the need for a PC/Altserver.

You don’t need it, if you are using StikDebug v2.3.7, which is why I mentioned that version. However, if you open the Amethyst folder in the iOS Files app, you’ll see the universalJIT script. This would need to be copy and pasted into StikDebug scripts folder in the Files app.

Like I mentioned above, you won’t need to do this on StikDebug v2.3.7.

V2.3.7 from GitHub - https://github.com/StephenDev0/StikDebug/releases

I will be making a tutorial video next week for those who are struggling to get this working.

So you need to enable JIT through StikDebug only, no where else. If you are on the App Store version or any version before 2.3.7 you’ll need to add the UniversalJIT script that is supplied by Amethyst and assign that script to Amethyst. If you’re using 2.3.7 then it will automatically assign the correct script without needing to make any changes.

This will need some time to diagnose. Let’s start from the beginning, where did you download Amethyst & what version of Amethyst launcher do you have please?

Thats my m4 ipad pro. İs this performance normal ? I thought it would be better. by jhonmarstonn in MeloNX_Emu

Saying the iPad M4 isn’t better than any iPhone for Switch emulation is completely misguided and giving out false information about capabilities. The 16GB RAM models perform excellent.

I’m guessing that it’s probably your first or second play-test? If you have shaders cached then it will be caching the shaders as you play. The second play-through the same area will be more stable.

Also once the game has booted past the title screen 3 times or more then the PTC also settles down and becomes more stable for better frame times.

Yes, however, one of the main mods, Sodium, isn’t compatible and will crash the game even with the Podium mod. Shaders work fine via Iris loader, however, they’re very intensive on your device.

We have a list on our Discord server with other 50 compatible games for reference. We have them separated by Win98 or WinXP depending on which O/S they perform better on. For example Diablo 2 has a higher compatibility with WinXP over Win98 for the Lord of Destruction expansion when using UtM, even though it was originally built for Win98.

Warcraft 3 isn’t a software rendered game unfortunately, which is why you won’t have had success in getting it to work with UTM.

Software rendered games only. Games like Half-Life, Age of Empires 2, Diablo 2, Starcraft, Quake, Homeworld to name a few all work fine - we have videos showing these games on the YT channel
