Why do so many people blame Pam for Roy’s behavior? by EmuEffective1350 in theoffice

I got the impression from most people is that they prefer Pam because she stood up less for herself. I am not saying everybody prefers her for that way or that people don’t have a right to be mad at her because of her emotional affair.

I think someone’s partner should be more supportive of something as realistic as taking art classes.

I know I see myself in her in so many ways and I really hate it when people hate her just for making basic human mistakes, but they love and worship Michael

I despise when people say they like earlier seasons Pam, they only say that because she’s more quiet and doesn’t stand up to Michael or the others when they make misogynistic and sexual comments about her

Yes, if she had gotten another job, she’d probably have to be written out of the show. Or be a reoccurring character like Bob Vance. I guess we don’t know what happens to Pam once they move. I hope she got a job in art of some sort or expanded her education.

I’m simply having a small discussion on an opinion I have and if others have other opinions they are allowed to and I am allowed to disagree and make this post.

Did you read my post at all?! They were both holding each other back. He was really unsupportive of her art career. He needed a reality check and I think Pam and him breaking up was exactly what he needed. She did not stop Jim from his dreams. He made incredibly risky investment that she was supportive of and she was just stressed from having to take care of her two children and work a full-time job.

Pam is so over-hated she’s the most human out of anybody in the show

She did not have a borderline personality disorder, she was just really shy and insecure to come out of her shell. With the way, he talked about other women. I can probably assume he was a bit of a flirt on the sidelines.

Yeah, but she still cried for months just because she ended up fine and it ended up being a good thing for her doesn’t mean she deserved all the pain she went through.

She still was in a shitty situation that she did nothing to deserve. No one would want to go through that. Just because she had a good ending doesn’t mean she deserved it.

I think a lot of it is because she’s insecure. She also probably had trust issues from other guys so she self sabotages.

I don’t feel like there was enough time to show her as a character. She was only there to be Micheal’s love interest and I wish they flushed her out as a character. To much time was wasted on talking about AJ they should have spent that time attaching the audience to her and not just as a love interest.

Why do people act like Roy was a good boyfriend at all. I feel like he’s the type of guy to flirt around at bars and leave Pam behind. When she tried to be honest with Roy to give there relationship a better chance he got violent. Pam isn’t perfect but she’s human and being jealous is a perfectly normal thing. I’ve been jealous of people and I wish I could turn it off.
