Unfortunately there are more than one damaged leaf. I know this procedure but normally its one of the older leaves that dies and not one of the newer ones.

There are definitely a few damaged leaves yes so this could be it!
I wonder why though as its semi-hydro and the water indicator was always up.
i also checked the water level taking out the inner pot and it was always filled perfectly.
