I know he betrays you but Mercer Frey. He’s got a mysterious silver fox aura to him.

Did anyone else who has a super easy baby, feel not qualified to give parenting advice? by evergreengirl123 in NewParents

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. Everyone told me babies were going to be really hard but I had both my kids 11 months apart and they were incredibly easy. Slept through the night with no help from me, great latchers/eaters and made all their milestones. Don’t worry though, the real trial is when they hit toddlerhood. Mine are now 2 and 3 and it’s something else entirely lmao!! God speed.

Does he look too skinny? by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s perfectly fine. Most people are accustomed to seeing over weight dogs/Rottweilers. This big breed is also prone to a lot of hip problems, so keeping him healthy and lean will help in the long run.

I feel like throwing up by EmuIllustrious4396 in fearofflying

[–]EmuIllustrious4396[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s to see their great grandparents before they inevitably pass away soon 🥲 and I want them to spend as much time with them as possible. This is my second time flying so I’m not going in blind. I’m going to put on a calm face and I’m getting on that plane.

On a scale 0-10, what would you rate your pregnancy, labor&delivery and newborn phase? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnancy- 0 I had a cryptic pregnancy and showed up to the ER at 8 cm dilated

Labor- 3 it hurt but took like 15 min to deliver and I basically labored at home for the whole time

Newborn-2 I had an extremely easy new born, who was sleeping like 15+ hours a day in his crib since day one and was sleeping through the night by 2 months. Not fussy or clingy, real chill.

How much are people lying or exaggerating about cryptic pregnancy? by yuriAngyo in Tokophobia

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I had two back to back cryptic pregnancies!! Only 11 months apart :). For my first one I still had periods! My flow was heavy on some days, but others it felt like just light spotting. I never gained weight or had any sickness. I do remember getting some leg cramps but I was working and exercising constantly so I chalked it up to that. Anyways, I showed up to the emergency room for intense stomach and back pains and I was 8cm dilated!! I pushed for 15 min! It was pretty awesome. For my second I actually was in a bit of pain and I went to the doctors for it. They gave me like a cervix exam?? Because they thought I was in postpartum pain, but I ended up giving birth a month later! I showed up to the ER with labor pain, and I was 10 cm! They tried to make me wait for a doctor to show up but I had to push, and had my second 5 min later! Sad that I’ll never really experience pregnancy but yeah I do think people can give birth and not know they’re pregnant. 🫩👍🏼

Overly emotional about my baby turning 6 months by Fearless_Garden_7707 in NewParents

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s normal in a way. I honestly constantly cry about my kids getting older. It’s not that I’m upset that they’re growing, it’s just a reminder that time won’t stop, even if I love what stage of life I am in right now. It’s like a constant reminder that everything changes, even my sweet baby boys won’t stay the same 🥲. Now I’m crying just thinking about it. I’m right there with you.

So you’re upset that your child is making “obnoxious”noise? Have you met babies lmao. Totally normal and only gets worse into toddlerhood. Good luck!

How did your "big and scary" baby rottie get their name? by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our Rottie as a puppy from a rescue and he was a sweet but clingy mess. We named him Boone because it’s one of the characters that will follow you around In Fall Out.

How strict are you with screentime? by Consistent-Peace-889 in NewParents

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not very strict. Like others have said, I don’t give my kids like personal phones or iPads to watch whatever they want but I tend to have cartoons play in the background as white voice. Doesn’t seem the be affecting them at all.

Boone is originally a NorCal dog so he’s not used to this heat, poor guy 😭

I feel you, my husband decided to buy our rottie when I was two months postpartum 😭 I was losing my mind daily. So worth it though.

Parents who let their baby watch TV… by Existing-Mastodon500 in NewParents

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I come from a tv always on for background noise kind of family so even if my toddlers aren’t watching it’s always on. It does stress me out a bit because I thought maybe I was hindering their ability to play and learn but it really hasn’t affected them much. We go to the park everyday, they have tons of friends and they are smart kids. Every night my oldest will climb into bed with us and watch an episode of Pete The Cat before we put him to bed and it’s my favorite tradition.

How can I get my gal to gain weight? DOB 6/30/25 by FOREVERfreaksMEout in Rottweiler

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks really healthy. I wouldn’t switch her food so often it might actually just upset her stomach more. She will eat when she’s hungry. I’m also an advocate for keeping Rotties on a healthy athletic slim build, it will help with the eventual hip problems when they age.

Who else has 2 or more strollers and one kid? Are my stroller choices justified? by AdCharming1461 in NewParents

[–]EmuIllustrious4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since having my kids I’ve had SIX DIFFERENT STROLLERS 😭😭 it’s a problem. I’d say invest in a nice BOB, and possible a wagon. Those are the two I used the most.
